Position: Team Leader - CT
Status: Non-Exempt   

Job Description:

The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Director of Radiology in overseeing the Computed Tomography Service which includes clinical and operational personnel that perform these clinical services and patient care. The Team Leader guides the department with clinical protocols, clinical testing, department policy and regulatory guidelines while collaborating with other Team Leaders in the Radiology Department.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise CT personnel while working in cooperation with the senior leadership team.
  • Responsible for the orientation and training of all personnel.
  • Maintains a clinical working schedule as a member of the department service team.
  • Assists leadership team with employee hiring, performance evaluations and other similar personnel actions as needed.    
  • Assures staffing schedules and assignments are in place daily, while cooperating with senior leaderships overall staff scheduling needs.   
  • Works with senior leadership in planning ongoing equipment maintenance programs
  • Assists leadership with maintaining a positive patient care experience
  • Orders clinical supplies as needed (i.e. linens, solutions, medications).
  • Assist senior leadership with annual inspections and accreditations as needed.   
  • Monitors staff productivity, workload allocations and setting bench marking standards.
  • Works in close cooperation with senior leadership in supervising personnel in taking necessary measures in response to changes in workload.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with staff, providers and other departments members
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • The qualified candidate for this position has a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a radiology department. They require excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to respond to clinical and staffing challenges.  This candidate demonstrates an ability to interact as a team-builder with professional communication.
