Dr. George Botros is Board certified specialist in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Botros is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology in Biology and earned his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Northwell Health on Long Island, and completed his Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at NYU on Long Island.
Following completion of his formal training, Dr. Botros served as an attending Internal Medicine physician at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (North Shore University Hospital) and as an attending physician in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) at NYU on Long Island.
Dr. Botros is skilled at advanced pulmonary procedures and provides care for both outpatients and hospitalized inpatients with chronic and acute pulmonary conditions. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography in Critical Care Echocardiography.
Dr. Botros has been a teacher and mentor to students and colleagues throughout his career, in both formal didactic settings and by providing hands-on training. He has contributed to the medical literature and has given presentations at local, regional, and national professional meetings. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Botros sees outpatient referrals in his office in the Prima CARE Lung Center on the main Fall River campus and cares for both critical care and other hospitalized patients at Saint Anne’s Hospital (part of Brown University Health). He is supported by the extensive testing and imaging resources of Prima CARE and by Prima CARE’s many other specialty physicians.
