Primary Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Prima CARE is a 160-provider, physician-owned multispecialty group in southeastern Massachusetts, currently employing more than 50 advanced practice providers. We are seeking an experienced (1-3 years) Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join one of our Internal Medicine practices in Swansea, Massachusetts. The position is intended to be full-time (4-5 days a week) without nights, weekends, or holiday call. This position is appropriate for an Adult or Family NP or a PA.

The APP would see patients independently under a collaborative agreement with the supervising physician, assuming responsibility for patient care commensurate with his/her experience, training, and confidence. We are prepared to begin the licensure, on-boarding and insurance credentialing so that the successful candidate can begin on-boarding (e.g., EMR training) as soon as possible.

The APP will be an employee of Prima CARE, functioning as a member of an office-based patient-focused team. The candidate must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, hold a valid Drug Enforcement Agency certificate, and hold a Massachusetts controlled substances registration. Compassion, maturity, and excellent communication skills are essential. Prima CARE uses eClinicalWorks as its EMR, with voice recognition or AI software for documentation. The practice has the full support of Prima CARE specialists and testing facilities, which are readily-available on Prima CARE's main Fall River campus. These include a full Laboratory, Radiology, Cardiac and Pulmonary testing, Allergy, GI endoscopy, Physical Therapy, and Infectious Diseases, etc. This satellite office in Swansea offers phlebotomy and Xray.

Compensation is competitive, with benefits that include health insurance, malpractice coverage, a 401K retirement plan, a CME allowance, and paid time off. Southeast Massachusetts is a lovely part of New England, surrounded by city, waterfront, suburban, or farmland communities. Fifteen minutes from Providence, 45-60 minutes from Boston, and 30 minutes from Cape Cod and Newport, this is an attractive location with a multitude of choices for home and recreation.
