Meet Thomas Cahill, MD
Dr. Thomas Cahill is a Board-certified otolaryngologist, a surgeon who specializes in disease of the ears, nose, and throat. He earned his medical degree at University College in his native Dublin, Ireland. After his medical internship in England, Dr. Cahill trained in medicine, surgery, and otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Dr. Cahill has served the Newport and southeastern Massachusetts communities for over 35 years and formally joined Prima CARE in 2013. He is a member of numerous professional societies and is a Fellow of the both the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He established himself as a leader in the local medical community, serving on major hospital committees. He has been on the Executive Board of the Massachusetts Society of Otolaryngology, and is a former president of the Rhode Island ENT Society.
Dr. Cahill has particular expertise and has taught endoscopic sinus surgery, maintaining an active practice in all aspects of otolaryngology. He provides allergy testing in his office.
Dr. Cahill sees patients in his office on Hanover Street and has provides consultative and surgical services at St. Anne’s Hospital and Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
