Dr. Nathan Sairam is a Fellowship-trained gastroenterologist in the Gastroenterology Division at Prima CARE.
Dr. Sairam is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College (BS in Mathematics) and earned his Doctorate in Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Brown University.
Dr. Sairam is skilled in the diagnosis and management of adult patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, and pancreas in both outpatient and hospital settings. He performs endoscopic procedures of the upper and lower intestine in Prima CARE’s GI Endoscopy Suite and at Saint Anne’s Hospital, a Brown University Health facility. He has performed medical research on fatty liver and inflammatory bowel disease and has presented research findings at medical symposia. He has held leadership positions in both college and medical school and has mentored students and colleagues in GI endoscopy techniques.
Dr. Sairam is dedicated to the health and well-being of his patients. He sees outpatient referrals in the Prima CARE Gastroenterology Office on the main Fall River campus and sees inpatients at Saint Anne’s Hospital. When not caring for his patients, Dr. Sairam enjoys being an accomplished “Master Chef”.
