Dr. Lobna Abdelwahab is a Board-certified neurologist with specialty training in epilepsy.
Dr Abdelwahab earned her medical degree from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. She completed a combined Residency in Neurology and Psychiatry, and earned a Master’s Degree in Neurology and Psychiatry, also at Ain Shams.
Upon her arrival in the United States, Dr. Abdelwahab worked as a research scientist at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. She then completed an Adult Neurology Residency at SUNY Downstate and an Epilepsy Fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.
Dr. Abdelwahab has had a distinguished career as a medical researcher and has given local, regional, and international presentations in the fields of general neurology and epilepsy. She is a member of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, the Egyptian Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, and American Academy of Neurology, and the Americal Epilepsy Society. Dr. Abdelwahab is Board-certified in Neurology and Psychiatry.
Dr. Abdelwahab sees outpatient referrals in her office on the main Prima CARE campus and sees inpatient consultations at Saint Anne’s Hospital (Brown University Health) and at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She is supported by the extensive diagnostic resources and by her Prima CARE specialist colleagues. She is fluent in English and Arabic, and is a published poet. She is accepting new neurology and epilepsy referrals.
