Dr. Robert A. Salk is an experienced, Board-certified Gynecologist. He is a graduate of Boston University and earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Salk completed Residencies in Obstetrics and Gynecology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso and Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu.
Dr. Salk practice Ob-Gyn in the armed forces and served in the 46th Combat Support Hospital during Desert Storm before continuing his career in Rhode Island at Women & Infant's and Kent Hospitals. He has maintained a successful outpatient Ob-Gyn practice in Rhode Island and at Saint Anne's Hospital for the past decade. His dedication to academia includes an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Ob-Gyn at Brown University and as Clinical Professor and Chairman of Ob-Gyn Medical Education at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine. He is Board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Salk is a former President of the Rhode Island Society of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons and served as Commissioner and Secretary of the Rhode Island Ethics Commission from 2015 – 2022.
Dr. Salk sees outpatients in his office at 277 Pleasant Street, Suite 203, on the main Prima CARE campus in Fall River and operates at Saint Anne's Hospital, a Brown University Health facility. He is supported by the extensive testing, imaging, and specialty care available at Prima CARE.
