Dr. Lyudmila Aurora is Fellowship-trained specialist in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology. In addition to general cardiology, her expertise includes the diagnosis and management of cardiac rhythm disturbances. Dr. Aurora performs diagnostic and ablation procedures to treat atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and ventricular tachycardia. She is also skilled in the implantation of cardiac devices, like pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac event (loop) monitors.
Dr. Aurora is a graduate of CUNY Hunter College and earned her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, New York, followed by her Cardiology Fellowship at SUNY Downstate. She then trained in the subspecialty of Cardiac Electrophysiology (Cardiac EP) at Mount Sinai Hospital-Morningside in New York City. Dr. Aurora has worked as specialist in Hospital Medicine and has conducted clinical cardiology research during her Fellowship at SUNY. She is a member of the Americal College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.
Dr. Aurora sees outpatient referrals in her Prima CARE Cardiology office on the main Prima CARE campus in Fall River and performs procedures at Saint Anne’s Hospital (a part of Brown University Health) and at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She is supported by Prima CARE’s Division of Cardiology, by Prima CARE’s Cardiac Testing team, and by Prima CARE’s extensive medical specialty services.
