Position: Radiologic Tech Lead

Job Description:

PrimaCARE, P.C. is looking for a full time Radiologic Tech Lead. PrimaCARE, P.C. is a large multi-specialty medical group serving southeastern New England. Among your responsibilities, you will supervise and train a team of technologists in performing CT scans and maintaining equipment. Troubleshooting any equipment issues if necessary; collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care coordination; and effectively communicating with patients prior to and during the examination process, including addressing any concerns they may have. A portion of this role involves scheduling employees, collaborating with team leads, employees and the Director of Radiology.

Your responsibilities may include assisting other radiology modalities and clinical services as well as working in a variety of imaging locations. It is expected that the lead technologist will maintain the ability to provide independent care to patients of any condition when required. In the various Radiology Imaging locations/modalities, the CT Team Lead is responsible for prioritizing schedules, organizing procedures, and triaging routine and emergent procedures with the help of staff members.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform high-quality CT scans to produce images used for diagnosis and treatment planning
Lead and supervise a team of CT technologists, ensuring that all staff are trained and competent in performing CT exams and maintaining equipment
Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment as needed
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that CT images meet established standards
Communicate with patients, explaining the CT exam process and addressing any concerns they may have
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patient care is coordinated and effective
Maintain accurate and complete documentation of CT exams, including patient history, exam findings, and any relevant notes
Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in CT technology and techniques, and ensure that the CT team is trained on new equipment and techniques as needed
Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills in CT imaging
Schedule employees and coordinate with the director of radiology and other lead technologists to ensure efficient and effective operations
Assist in the training and orientation of new employees as needed
Collaborate with the director of radiology to develop and implement policies and procedures for the CT department
Assist with budget management and cost control efforts for the CT department
Perform other duties as assigned by the director of radiology

Education and Experience

Certification by appropriate body (ARRT)
Valid Massachusetts Radiological License CT certification
BLS/CPR Certification
