History of Prima CARE

In 1991, the Prima CARE, P.C founders formed a partnership called the Southeast Medical Services Group with 13 physicians. As the Group continued to grow and evolve, it changed its name and incorporated in 1996 with 23 cofounders. Since that time, Prima CARE has continued to grow, with over 60 healthcare providers now, and facilities in Fall River and Somerset, Massachusetts. The facilities provide a full range of medical services including primary care physicians and specialists as well as full diagnostic services, including MRI, CT scans, nuclear cardiac testing, ultrasound, bone density testing and PFTs in our new 60,000 square foot medical facility in Fall River. We also provide laboratory services at all our locations as well as X-rays at our 18,000 square foot Somerset location.
